Even though it was kind of difficult, I finally have a good example. Sort of.
When talking to a person, less savvy and experienced, it is important to lower the level of discomfort to keep satisfaction level in check. What often helps is to level yourself with the peer. Here’s a very nice example of ‘fitting in the context’:
Customer: Let’s move to another case, bro
Engineer: Sure
Customer: [This] is not working at all
Engineer: Ok, let me check, bro
Customer: Ok, bro
This might seem insignificant but here’s the thing: the example is easy. The skill isn’t.
Type: Chat
Score: Good
Reason: Putting yourself on the same level as your peer helps them feel like you’re on their side. Bro.
